In 1999, Amtri Veritas was approached by the Department of Trade and Industry and requested to become an approved notified body under regulation 18 (1) of the supply of machinery safety regulations.
This enabled Amtri Veritas to perform machinery safety examinations as part of the official government sponsored CE Marking processes and listed them as a government approved body for the checking of Quality (ISO 9001) and Environmental (ISO 14001) standards.
